Commentary
Commentary Deme by deme list of contributors and their substitutes (following diadikasia procedures). The exact nature of the "exchanged" charges remains disputed (liturgies, especially trierarchy, according to Clark 1990; eisphora, according to Davies 1981 and Rhodes 1982; collect in connection with the public debt, according to Gabrielsen 1987). In any case, this inscription, like the others in the same series (IG II² 1928-1931), obiously predates the reform of the eisphora introducing the symmoria in 378/7 BCE.
