Commentary

Anatomical relief (a female breast), found reused in a house N of the Acropolis. Probably from the sanctuary of Hupsistos on the Pnyx (see Forsén 1993 for the hypothesis of the association of the plaque with a niche).
Relief anatomique (un sein), trouvé remployé dans une maison au N de l'Acropole. Provient probablement du sanctuaire d'Hupsistos sur la Pnyx (cf. Forsén 1993 pour l'hypothèse de l'association de la plaque avec une niche).
