Commentary
Commentary 5 (perhaps 7) fragments (fr. a-g), the most important of which were found on the Acropolis (see Walbank 1994 and Matthaiou 2008 for the detail) where the stele was once erected (Walbank 1989; cf. fr. c-d-e-g, l. 1-3). The association of two fragments (fr. a and f) to the others, suggested by Walbank 1994, is not certain (see Tracy 1994 and Matthaiou 2008): thus the line numbers used here are those of Matthaiou 2008. The junction of fragments c, d, e (and g) makes obsolete the restorations prior to Walbank's (1994) and Matthaiou's (2008) editions; thus, no report of these suggestions (especially those of Sokolowski, LSCG) is given here.
Two decrees, respectively from the State (fr. b = IG II² 620) and from the the deme of Kollytos (fr. c-d-e-g = IG II² 1195+), whose (both) main subject(s) remain(s) uncertain and is/are not necessarily of ritual content: although sacrifices are mentioned, a provision is also made on the pooling of funds by the demesmen.
