Commentary

Six non-joining fragments (fr. a-f), found NE of the Agora, near Ag. Philippos church (except fr. b, of unknown provenience). Considering the differences of thickness of the stones and the lettering, these six fragments would belong to four distinct stelai according to Williams (2011), rather than to one single stele (Walbank, 1983 ; Agora XIX). Thus, the date of 343/2 BCE (Pythodotos archon) which appears on fr. a would only be valid for stele I (fr. a-b); stele II (fr. e), III (fr. c-d) and IV (fr. f) can be dated in the neighbouring decades (ca. 355-320 Williams, 2011).
Record of leases of sacred properties (land and houses). On their location and their geographic closeness - frequent, albeit not systematic - with the sanctuaries of the divine landlords, see Walbank (1983), p. 115-124 and Papazarkadas (2011), p. 29.
Here are adopted Williams' (2011) line numbers.
Six fragments non jointifs (fr. a-f), trouvés au NE de l'Agora, près de l'église Ag. Philippos (sauf fr. b, de provenance inconnue). Compte tenu des différences d'épaisseur des pierres et de graphie, les six fragments appartiendraient à quatre stèles distinctes selon Williams (2011) plutôt qu'à une seule (Walbank, 1983 ; Agora XIX). Partant, la date de 343/2 av. n.è. (Pythodotos archonte) qui apparaît sur le fr. a ne vaudrait que pour la stèle I (fr. a-b) ; les stèles II (fr. e), III (fr. c-d) et IV (fr. f) peuvent être datées des décennies avoisinantes (ca. 355-320 Williams, 2011).
