Commentary Found reused in a well, about a mile W of the village of Kermeti.
Ionian script and dialect.
Boundary stone of a temenos, i.e. a land estate owned by Athena who-rules Athens (Athenon medeousa): see Smarczyk, Religionspolitik (1990), p. 58-154 and Parker, Athenian Religion (1996), p. 144-145. Contra Barron (1964) who sees it as the framework for a locally established cult, and Meiggs, Athenian Empire (1972), p. 295-298, of a cult imposed by Athens.
Trouvé remployé dans un puits, environ un mile à l'O du village de Kermeti.
Ecriture et dialecte ioniens.
Borne de temenos, i.e. d'un domaine foncier appartenant à Athéna qui-règne-sur Athènes (Athênôn medeousa): cf. Smarczyk, Religionspolitik (1990), p. 58-154 et Parker, Athenian Religion (1996), p. 144-145. Contra Barron (1964) qui y voit le cadre d'un culte instauré localement, et Meiggs, Athenian Empire (1972), p. 295-298, d'un culte imposé par Athènes.
