| Commentary |
Found on a Bedouin grave north of the city, just east of the church of Claudianos de Umm el-Jimal. Fragment forming the upper part of an altar. The lower part of the altar was also found on the same tomb. The altar contains a crown in relief and traces of a piece of sculpture, probably a head that has been cut. On the base there is a cross added by a foreign hand.
Trouvé sur une tombe de bédouin au nord de la ville, un peu à l'est de l'église de Claudianos de Umm el-Jimal. Fragment formant la partie supérieure d'un autel. La partie inférieure de l'autel a aussi été trouvée sur la même tombe. L'autel contient une couronne en relief et les traces d'un morceau de sculpture, probablement une tête qui a été coupée. Sur la base se trouve une croix ajoutée par une main étrangère. |
