| Commentary |
Bilingual inscription in Greek and Hebrew in Samaritan script. The plaque was found near the church of Panagia tôn Chlakeôn, possibly close to a synagogue and a Jewish/Samaritan quarter. The text is in three parts: a double blessing in Hebrew (l. 1 and 15), a quotation in Greek from the book of Numbers (6, 22-27; l. 2-14), and finally the dedication in Greek (l. 16-19).
Inscription bilingue en grec et hébreu en écriture samaritaine. La plaque a été découverte près de l'église de la Panagia tôn Chlakeôn, peut-être à proximité d'une synagogue et d'un quartier juif/samaritain. Le texte comprend trois parties : une double bénédiction en hébreu (l. 1 et 15), une citation en grec du livre des Nombres (6, 22-27 ; l. 2-14), enfin la dédicace en grec (l. 16-19). |
