Commentary	In the large village that today became Damit al-'Aliyyah, we can still see a tower with two coarse enclosures and the ancient wall with a part of the door framed with pampers surmounted by inscriptions (IGLS XV, 297; 305). Among the various monuments attested by the epigraphic corpus of the village, there is nothing left of the sanctuary for the god of Aumos, the building with two apses and the residence qualified of aulè. Dans le gros village qu'est devenu aujourd'hui Damit al-'Aliyyah, on peut encore voir une tour à deux enceintes assez grossière et le mur antique avec une partie de la porte encadrée de pampres surmontée d'inscriptions (IGLS XV, 297 ; 305). Des différents monuments dont le corpus épigraphique du village atteste, le sanctuaire pour le dieu d'Aumos, le bâtiment aux deux absides et la résidence qualifiée d'aulè, il ne reste rien.

Commentary

Tabula ansata on a lintel, with some letters extending beyond the frame. The Jewish character of this text is assumed because of the anthroponym Tobias, but the acclamation Heis Theos may be Christian or "pagan".
Tabula ansata sur un linteau, avec quelques lettres débordant du cadre. Le caractère juif de ce texte est supposé en raison de l'anthroponyme Tobie, mais l'acclamation Heis Theos peut être chrétienne ou "païenne".
