Commentary
Commentary Stone brought "from Greece" to Ferrara in 1565; now kept in Venice. Attributed to Paros since Boeckh (CIG) on the basis of the ethnic of the deceased (l. 3); yet, the Parian origin of the inscription is unlikely, considering the fact that the ethnic of the deceased is given and that the author of the epigram (Dionysios) was from Magnesia (Chaniotis, SEG 55).
