Commentary

Found in Makry Steno (W necropolis). Pedimental stele in Parian marble with relief of Attic style (made by an Athenian sculptor working in Rhodes according to Clairmont 1970) depicting a woman standing and holding a pyxis (l.) and a seated woman (r.).
Funerary epigram (three hexameters and two pentameters, on two lines) cut on the architrave.
Trouvé à Makry Steno (nécropole O). Stèle à fronton en marbre de Paros avec relief de style attique (oeuvre d'un sculpteur athénien exerçant à Rhodes selon Clairmont 1970) représentant une femme debout tenant une pyxide (g.) et une femme assise (dr.).
Epigramme funéraire (trois hexamètres et deux pentamètres, sur deux lignes) gravée sur l'architrave.
