Commentary
Commentary Base of a tripod with a 4th c. BCE choregic dedication Choregic dedication (Peek 1941, n°2 A = IG II3 4, 496) later cut into the shape of a stele with a dating formula (B) and decree of the Council and People concerning the cult of Apollon (C = LSCG Suppl. 14) of 129/8 BCE inscribed on it.
Badly preserved text. No edition based on autopsy since Peek's (1941), which is unsatisfactory for Robert & Robert, BE 1942, 30. Here is used Sokolowski's edition (LSCG Suppl. 14), which takes into account Wilhelm's (1947) readings (cf. BE 1948, 52). See also Sarrazanas 2021 who, given the state of the text, does not propose a new edition although he revised the stone in 2014.
