Commentary	The prytaneion was built north of the civic agora, east of the bouleuterion, in the Augustan period: see Steskal, Das Prytaneion in Ephesos (2010). Le prytanée fut construit au nord de l'agora civique, à l'est du bouleutèrion, à l'époque augustéenne : voir la monographie dédiée à l'édifice Steskal, Das Prytaneion in Ephesos (2010).

Commentary

Thanks of the prytanis Tiberius Claudius Artemidôros to Hestia Boulaia and to all the gods. The inscription is engraved on a door lintel that belongs to the prytaneion (door 2 of the Hestia Hall, see Steskal 2010, 37). This inscription is part of a series of texts found on bases and columns in the prytaneion. The inscriptions express the thanks addressed to various deities by the agents of the prytaneion.
Remerciement du prytane Tiberius Claudius Artemidôros à Hestia Boulaia et à tous les dieux. L'inscription est gravée sur un linteau de porte qui appartient au prytanée (porte 2 de la salle du foyer, voir Steskal 2010, 37 et pl. 69, 1-4). Cette inscription fait partie d'une série de textes découverts sur des bases et des colonnes dans le prytanée. Les inscriptions expriment les remerciements adressés à diverses divinités par les agents du prytanée.
