Commentary
Commentary Sarcophagus found in several fragments near the Church of San Vittorio. On the front side, on the right, a seated man holding a volumen and, on the left, a seated woman playing the zither. On the left side, a man applies an ointment on the eyes of a woman; on the right, a woman sits in front of a pillar. The text is in Latin and Greek, but transcribed in Latin characters.
Sarcophage trouvé en plusieurs fragments près de l'Eglise san Vittorio. Sur la face antérieure, on voit, à droite, un homme assis, tenant un volumen et, à gauche, une femme assise jouant de la cithare. Sur le côté gauche, un homme applique un onguent sur les yeux d'une femme ; sur le droit, une femme est assise devant un pilier.
Le texte est en latin et en grec, mais transcrit en caractères latins.
