| Commentary |
Found in a Byzantine pithos on the N foot of the Areopagos. Three decrees from an association of orgeones. The first one, dating from the beginning of the 3rd c. BCE, is about debt recovery. The other two are said to be of earlier date (archaia) (5th c.?) : one includes a ritual regulation (l. 12-23); only the first line of the other one is preserved (l. 24). Trouvé dans un pithos byzantin, au pied du versant N de l'Aréopage. Trois décrets d'une association d'orgéons. Le premier date du début du IIIe s. av. n.è. (l. 1-11) et est relatif au recouvrement de dettes. Les deux autres sont désignés comme plus "anciens (archaia)" (Ve s. ?) : l'un comporte un règlement rituel (l. 12-23) ; du second, il ne reste que la première ligne (l. 24). |
