Commentary
Commentary Probably from the sanctuary of Pan and the Nymphes near the Ilissos.
Stele with two reliefs separated by a band on which the text is inscribed.
Upper section: to the left, head of Acheloos, to which Hermes and three Nymphs are approaching; to the right, Pan seated playing flute.
Lower section: to the left, a bearded man leading a horse; to the right, Demeter (seated) and Kore (standing); an altar between the man and the two goddesses.
