This dossier of documents includes two decrees from the genos of the Salaminioi, putting an end to a dispute between the two branches of this association (those "of the seven tribes" and those "from Sounion"). The first decree (l. 1-79) validates the arbitration between the two parties and the management of the common properties, namely the land (leasing) and priesthoods (appointment and perquisites). The second decree (l. 80-97) lists the sacrificial expenses of the genos in the form of a calendar. For each month are specified the divine addressees and the offerings intended for them with their price (bovines: 70 dr.; sheeps: 15 dr. for a male, 12 dr. for a female; goats: 10 dr.; adult pigs: 40 dr.; piglets: 3 dr. 1/2). Sometimes precisions on the date (day or festival), the place or the cost of the ritual furnitures (wood). Found SW of the Hephaisteion, reused as a covering slab of a Hellenistic cistern. Two places of erection of the stele are mentioned by the text: the Eurysakeion (l. 84-85), located near the Kolonos Agoraios (cf. Lambert, 1997) and the sanctuary of Athena Skiras (l. 50-52), probably at Phaleron. Considering the finding-place of the stone, the first option seems to be by far the most probable. Cet ensemble documentaire est composé de deux décrets du genos des Salaminiens mettant fin à un litige entre les deux branches de l'association (ceux "des sept tribus" et ceux "du Sounion"). Le premier décret (l. 1-79) valide l'arbitrage entre les deux parties et la gestion du patrimoine commun, à savoir les terres (location) et les prêtrises (désignation et rétribution). Le second (l. 80-97) liste les dépenses sacrificielles du genos sous forme calendaire. Pour chaque mois sont spécifiés les destinataires divins et les offrandes qui leur sont adressées, avec leur prix (bovins : 70 dr. ; ovins : 15 dr. pour un mâle, 12 dr. pour une femelle ; caprins : 10 dr. ; porcins : 40 dr. pour un adulte, 3 dr. 1/2 pour un porcelet), ainsi que d'éventuelles précisions sur la date (jour ou fête), le lieu ou le coût des fournitures rituelles (bois). Trouvé au SO de l'Héphaisteion, remployé pour recouvrir une citerne hellénistique. Le texte mentionne deux lieux de publication, l'Eurysakeion (l. 84-85), situé près du Kolonos Agoraios (cf. Lambert, 1997) et le sanctuaire d'Athéna Skiras (l. 50-52), probablement celui de Phalère. Compte tenu du lieu de découverte de la pierre, la première option semble de loin la plus probable. |
