#1931 La fête au village p. 547
Commentary It must be the name of a village, perhaps derived from the Aramaic noun ḥrmtʾ, "sacred enclosure" or from Syriac and Judeo-Aramaic ʿurmṯā, "heap" (of grain in this case). Aaramta is known in the hinterland of Sidon, south of Jezzine. There is also a hill called Arentha, near Broummana, three kilometres north-east of Beit Meri.
