Commentary This is Euthydemos, the king besieged in Bactria by Antiochos III who, in 206 BCE, finally recognised his royal title (Polybius, XI, 34). To Demetrios, he promised one of his daughters in marriage. The dedicant asks Hestia to "preserve them from all pain with the help of divine Tyche".
