W. Kolbe, in his edition of the inscription (IG V.1, 62, addendum p. 301), identifies Zeus Boulaios with the emperor Hadrian (who is named Ἁδριανός Βουλαῖος in the inscription from Messenia IG V.1, 1352), and Hestia Boulaia with his wife Sabina. The hypothesis is generally accepted: see Lafond, Mémoire des cités (2006), p. 302; Rizakis et al., Roman Peloponnese II (2004), p. 173.
W.
