If the restitution is correct, we can think that there was in Bostra a sanctuary of Rome and Augustus, which is commonplace since this worship is well attested throughout the Empire, especially in the East. As far as Arabia is concerned, we knew the existence of this cult only by the mention of ancient flamen dedicating to the Lady Country (IGLS XIII.1 n° 9008-9009).
Si la restitution est correcte, on peut penser qu'il existait à Bostra un sanctuaire de Rome et d'Auguste, ce qui est banal puisque ce culte est bien attesté dans tout l'Empire, particulièrement en Orient. En ce qui concerne l'Arabie, nous ne connaissions l'existence de ce culte que par la mention d'ancien flamines faisant des dédicaces à la Dame Patrie (IGLS XIII.1 n° 9008-9009). |
