Commentary The god or daimon is invited not to harm (μή με ἀδικήσις) the agent. On the reverse side of the carnelian, he is acclaimed "Great is the name": μέγα τὸ ὄνομα. According to S. Perea (1998), this might be the god of the Jews. The use of soi, in the dative, sounds strange; doubts remain about the origin and authenticity of the document.
Le dieu ou démon est invité à ne pas nuire (μή με ἀδικήσις) à l'agent. Sur le revers de la cornaline, il est acclamé "Grand est le nom" : μέγα τὸ ὄνομα. Selon S. Perea (1998), il s'agirait du dieu des juifs. Le recours à soi au datif est étrange et des doutes subsistent sur la provenance et l'authenticité du document.
