Commentary The establishment of Sarapis' cult in Ampurias seems to have been favoured by emigrants from Alexandria.
Commentary The lacuna allows several restitutions among which it is difficult to choose. In particular, the integration of the name Isis or that of Zeus, which is favoured by IG España Portugal, are credible possibilities. We have followed the RICIS proposal here. L. Bricault (II, pp. 684-685) considers in fact that the temple could not initially be dedicated to Isis and Sarapis.
