The inscription refers to the consecration of an altar by Asklas to the deities Leucothea and Melicertes. A vineyard seems to be under the property of both deities. Despite the confident reading, one would expect to find Μελικέρτου. The engraver decided to consider it as a feminine term or it was wrongly engraved.
L'inscription fait référence à la consécration d'un autel par Asklas aux divinités Leucothéa et Mélicerte. Une vigne semble être la propriété des deux divinités. Bien que la lecture soit fiable, on s'attendrait à trouver Μελικέρτου. Le graveur a décidé de le considérer comme un terme féminin ou il n'a pas été décliné par erreur. |
