| Commentary |
The inscription refers to the holy god Remala, which is an unknown god part of the divine order of the angelical god Melicertes. The juxtaposition of god, angel and Melicertes reveals the identification of Melicertes with his angel to disclose the instructions of the holy god. This act is observed in other male deities such as for Jupiter Heliopolitan or Zeus Angel. In this case, Melicertes acts only as an intermediary between the worshippers and the local deity, i.e. the holy god of Remala.
L'inscription fait référence au dieu saint Remala, qui est un dieu inconnu faisant partie de l'ordre divin du dieu angélique Melicerte. La juxtaposition de dieu, ange et Melicerte révèle l'identification de Melicerte avec son ange pour révéler les instructions du dieu saint. Cet acte est observé chez d'autres divinités masculines comme pour Jupiter Heliopolitain ou Zeus Ange. Dans ce cas, Melicerte n'agit qu'en tant qu'intermédiaire entre les fidèles et la divinité locale, c'est-à-dire le saint dieu de Remala. |
